Developing international cooperation with DANKOOK university, Korea

On a recent business trip in Da Nang city, the board of Dankook University in Korea along with Korean businesses working in the central region visited and worked at the college on 24th March 2016.

On behalf of the college, Mr. Vo Duy Thanh, the vice rector, presented an overview of the formation and development of the college over the years, training programs, cooperative programs with Korean universities as well as the support of the Korean businesses in Vietnam. Dankook’s rector, Mr. Chang Ho Sung, was glad that there are many similarities between the two schools, which facilitates the implementation of cooperation in the future. Some contents that the rector of Dankook University proposed include:

- Student exchange program 3+2 as a cooperation link

- Support for students working at Korean enterprises in Da Nang (required to know Korean)

- Opening one Korean language center at Korean-Vietnam Friendship Information Technology College

- Opening one Vietnamese language center at Dankook University, Korea

- Opening training programs related to Vietnamese language for students at Dankook University, Korea.

As one of the colleges having much cooperation with Korean enterprises in Vietnam to support internships and jobs for students after graduation, the visit is a new collaboration model - Enterprise - College. To start the official cooperation relationship, Dankook University has awarded a scholarship to an outstanding student to study at Dankook during 6 weeks with all costs sponsored by the DankookUniversity.

Contents of cooperation will be agreed officially in writing between the two schools and cooperation agreement will be signed in May 2016.
