Visit of Korean embassy in Vietnam (10.21.2015)

During the meeting, Mr. Park Sang Shil - The Envoy of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam showed his concerns about the project of upgrading the Vietnam-Korea Friendship IT College to a university. As for the project, Mr. Hoang Bao Hung - the Principal of the college said that the explosion of private universities had limited the quality of new students since 2003 because candidates mainly focused on other universities. He added that with such a full range of factors as more than 40 well-equipped labs for many different fields, 11 lectures carrying out Doctoral courses in some abroad universities, the upgrading of the college to university was justified and necessary.

Mr. Park Sang Silk expressed his hope that the school would focus on training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of companies in the region, because he had already worked with Doosan Vina company and he was surprised to see a lot of skilled workers operating modern machinery, whose skills he thought were not worse than Korean workers. Mr. Hung also said that the school had signed memoranda of cooperation with more than 10 universities in Korea such as Soongsil University, Kangwon, or Chosun on student and lecturer exchange programs, creating more opportunities for mutual learning and exchange of students and lecturers within and outside the school. Besides, the school was cooperating with the company of BrainyX in the field of software outsourcing on mobile phones to improve skills, and create more employment opportunities for the school students.
